Ashdown is known for its amplifiers and effects pedals, primarily for bass, but also for guitars. The British manufacturer is located in Chelmsford, Essex, England. Ashdown was founded in 1997 by Mark Gooday, chief engineer and manager of Trace Elliot. He designed the logo based on the engine badge of the sports car brand Auth-Heale. Ashdown's unwavering focus on design and innovation is clearly evident in its product range: tube and hybrid amplifiers, combos, practice amps, effects pedals, and more!
Ashdown Engineering remains true to its roots, today just as it was in 1997! Ashdown Rootmaster EVO cabinets are constructed with the Super Lightweight Series II lightweight plywood and equipped with specially designed Ashdown White Line speakers for exceptional attack, clarity, and low-end performance!
