The RC-10R combines song-based looping with organic rhythms in one compact device and provides fresh inspiration for your live performances, songwriting sessions and daily practice. With this next generation Loop Station you can create music and grooves spontaneously and in real time. The RC-10R supports you with two song parts, intros and outros as well as a variety of groove fills. You have everything under control using the controls and the loop display on the user interface. If necessary, you can also expand the RC-10R with external switches and MIDI controllers to control your performance even more flexibly. The extensive rhythm library covers almost every musical genre. Or you can import your own rhythms to adapt the RC-10R to your individual needs for certain songs and styles.
The famous Loop Stations from BOSS are among the leading loopers worldwide and offer a wide range of models to encourage the creativity of different types of musicians. With the RC-10R we present a new kind of loop station, inspired by famous performers of our time, who fuse song-based looping with percussive rhythms. The RC-10R was designed to create music from the moment and offers guitarists and singer / songwriters a unique, almost limitless instrument for developing ideas and for dynamic, irresistible live performances.
The RC-10R combines loops and rhythms in an unprecedented, interactive way. In contrast to the more rudimentary guide rhythms of other loop stations, the rhythms of the RC-10R are based on complete song structures with different parts. The 2-track loop engine is perfectly synchronized to the rhythms. This allows you to record independent sections of the song, each with its own rhythm backing. With two variations, the transitions between the sections can be made more lively, while your songs begin and end naturally via the intro and outro fills.
The RC-10R is prepared for every style of music - from rock and pop to Latin and jazz to electro and more. With more than 280 integrated rhythm styles including organic grooves, you can easily find the right accompaniment for your music. If you do not find what you are looking for, you can simply transfer your own rhythms in SMF format using the Mac / Windows software specially developed for the RC-10R and store them in one of the 50 user memory locations. No matter which style you choose, you can quickly and easily change the sound character of any groove using the 16 kits - from heavy rock to light percussion.
The RC-10R's loop and rhythm engines work perfectly together. But you can also use them independently. In this way you can create two separate loops without any rhythm backings and create complex song performances with lively ambient soundscapes. You can also use the RC-10R as a drum machine and control song sections and fills in real time with just your feet - the ideal support on stage, in jam sessions and when practicing.
With its interactive screens and multifunction controls, the RC-10R is an independent powerhouse. But some users need even more control options - no problem for the RC-10R. On the one hand, there is a jack connection that can be used to connect up to two foot switches or an expression pedal to control functions such as start / stop, undo / redo, loop volume and more. The MIDI input / output, which was implemented via the space-saving TRS mini jack sockets and, in combination with external MIDI controllers, offers direct access to countless functions and sync options, offers more profound possibilities.
The loop stations from BOSS are known for their outstanding sound quality. The RC-10R marks the high point of this development for the time being. The loop recording engine works with 32 bit AD / DA conversion and 32 bit floating point calculation and doesn’t have to hide from the best studio equipment with its audio performance. As with every Loop Station, the dry signal can also be processed completely analog here in order to preserve 100 percent of the original sound.
Electric guitars and grooves have to be amplified and processed differently. While guitarists usually rely on their amplifier to find the timbre they want, rhythm machines need a transparent full-range playback system to reproduce all the nuances. The RC-10R enables the looper and the rhythms to be sent to separate amplifier systems via independent outputs. If you don't have two amplifiers available or if you prefer a simpler setup, the RC-10R uses a small but nice trick. You can process the guitar and / or rhythm sound using a variety of sound filters and tune it for joint amplification using a single system - regardless of whether it is a guitar amplifier, a PA system or your studio monitors.
