The well-known SY-1 already offered a lot of fun with immediate success. The SY-200 expands the model with more sounds, expanded sound design options and 128 memory slots for your sound creations. In addition to the two integrated footswitches for comprehensive real-time control of your performance, you can also connect external footswitches, an expression pedal or MIDI devices to use the SY-200 in even more ways.
The SY-200 turns your guitar or bass into a versatile analog-style synthesizer that lets you add dynamic, immersive, and expressive new sounds to your music. The compact floor pedal has 171 sounds, which are arranged in twelve categories. Each sound can be adjusted via various parameters in terms of sound and response. In addition, you can store your favorite sounds in a total of 128 memory locations and call them up immediately during your performance.
The informative display and hands-on controls make it quick and easy to call up sounds and set the balance between direct and synth signals. When developing the synthesizer presets, the experts at BOSS placed particular value on ensuring that every single sound inspires and offers immediate playing fun. If you want to delve deeper into the sound design, you can adjust the sounds using three parameters and dedicated controls.
The SY-200 can be easily integrated into your setup in a variety of ways. Patch the SY-200 into your signal chain like a normal pedal, or use the send and standard outputs to send synth and guitar sounds to different destinations. The send/return loop and level controls let you create unique hybrid sounds by combining one or more pedals in parallel with different synthesizer sounds.
The SY-200 can be controlled in many different ways and still takes up minimal space on your pedalboard. You can assign the two foot switches with different functions and use them multifunctionally using press-and-hold. The possibilities range from synthesizer on/off, pitch bend and synth hold to switching through the memory locations and much more. In addition, the SY-200 can also be controlled via MIDI and can thus communicate with other pedals and devices with a MIDI connection, including the loop switchers ES-8 and ES-5.
You can use the SY-200 with any guitar or bass - just connect it with a standard 1/4" jack cable and get started.
