The Marleaux ProgramAble is a top-of-the-line, three-band semi-parametric tone control. It was developed specifically for Marleaux basses. Its advantage: one of three center frequencies can be selected and saved for each frequency range. Thanks to the selection of exceptionally high-quality components, the electronics operate with very low noise. This makes them particularly suitable for professional use on stage and in the studio.
The individual adjustment options allow for creative use of frequencies. The musician's imagination is given free rein. Nevertheless,
the bass's center frequencies are very tastefully balanced. Their steep frequency response ensures the instrument's complete and song-serving sound is projected within the band mix.
After activating the active/passive toggle switch, the tone controls have a dual function. In the passive position, the corner frequencies of the three tone controls are selected. Once the desired corner frequencies are set, they are saved by holding toggle switch 2 for three seconds. In the active position of the toggle switch, the saved frequencies can then be boosted or cut using the tone controls (+/- 14dB).
