The Tim Commerford Artist Series StingRay Bass in Quentin Blue is a limited-edition model developed in collaboration with legendary bassist Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, and 7D7D. It embodies his deep connection to the Ernie Ball Music Man. Only 50 of this bass are available, each with a numbered custom neck plate. It combines an ash body, a roasted maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard for a rich, balanced tone. It features passive electronics with a neodymium humbucker, a volume control with passive boost, a 3-way rotary pickup switch, and a tone control for numerous tonal options. The string-through-body bridge with damper enhances sustain and control, while black hardware and a custom, height-adjustable "Finger Ramp" thumb rest—inspired by Commerford's playing style—provide added comfort and flexibility.
