Orange represents true guitar amplifier history. It's been over 50 years since Cliff Cooper founded his company, Orange, with a borrowed £50. To this day, he remains the sole owner and still guides many aspects of the company's operations. From the very beginning, Orange has not only produced rock-solid British rock amps but has also focused on innovation. For example, back in 1975 (!!!), Orange introduced the OMEC Digital, a programmable guitar amplifier! Many more innovations followed, including the creation of the so-called lunchbox amp format with the introduction of the Tiny Terror. All of this did not go unnoticed – in addition to countless industry awards, Orange received the Queen's Award for Enterprise and International Trade for the third time in 2012, arguably the highest and most prestigious award a company can receive in England!
Little Bass Thing - Good Things Come In Small Packages!
As the name suggests, the Little Bass Thing is a small, lightweight bass amplifier designed especially for the modern bassist. 500W Class-D power, paired with a massively powerful solid-state preamp, all in a tiny 3kg package: this miniature toolbox delivers maximum sound with minimal effort!
Simple yet effective EQ!
A parametric midrange control, along with carefully selected bass and treble frequencies, all with 15dB cut/boost, ensures you can dial in the ultimate bass sound not only precisely, but also quickly! Whether you want to add the finishing touches to the perfect tone, compensate for problematic room acoustics, or dial in something truly over-the-top, the Little Bass Thing does so with the technical precision and musical simplicity you'd expect from an Orange bass amp.
Class-A optical compression!
The Little Bass Thing's footswitchable compressor gives bassists direct access to Orange's meticulously engineered Class-A optical compression circuitry. With its unique sidechain design and bass-optimized response, the compressor offers superb dynamic tone control despite having only a single knob (footswitch sold separately).
Helpful little extras!
In addition to great sound and light weight, the Little Bass Thing features a buffered effects loop and a studio-quality balanced DI output with a ground lift switch to eliminate hum.
