Ampeg is an American manufacturer of amplifiers for electric bass and acoustic bass instruments. The company was founded in 1946 in Linden, New Jersey, by Everitt Hull and Stanley Michaels as "Michaels-Hull Electronic Labs." The company specialized in the recording, amplification, and sound conversion of bass instruments and went public in 1963 as The Ampeg Company, Inc. Today, Ampeg is part of Yamaha Corporation!
The SGT-DI Blue Line Anniversary Edition preamp and DI box is identical to the silver SGT-DI—but it's blue! The same blue as the original "Blue Line" SVT amplifier from 1969. It features a Super Grit Technology overdrive circuit, a 3-band EQ, Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo switches, a 10:1 variable compressor, and an IR loader/cab simulator.
It also comes with the free 75th Anniversary IR Pack, which includes the SVT-610HLF, SVT-810AV, and SVT-15E cabinets, which can be loaded with the free Ampeg IR Loader application.
