Ampeg is an American manufacturer of amplifiers for electric bass and acoustic bass instruments. The company was founded in 1946 in Linden, New Jersey by Everitt Hull and Stanley Michaels as "Michaels-Hull Electronic Labs". The company specialized in recording, amplification and sound conversion of bass instruments and went public in 1963 as The Ampeg Company, Inc. Today Ampeg is part of the Yamaha Corporation!

Powerful yet portable and lightweight yet roadworthy, the series includes the Venture V3, Venture V7 and Venture V12. With their user-friendly and intuitive controls, the Venture Series amplifiers offer a comprehensive range of tone-shaping tools, including a 3-band EQ with controllable mids, Ultra Hi and 3-way Ultra Lo switches, and a Super Grit Technology (SGT) overdrive circuit with SVT and B15 voicings. The Venture V7 and Venture V12 amplifiers also feature a highly musical variable compressor. An insert path, XLR direct output, aux input and headphone output enhance connectivity. All circuitry is analog except for the Class D solid-state amplifiers. Add an optional AFS2 footswitch to remotely control the SGT overdrive and mute. Durable padded Venture carry bags are available separately.
