When bassists start developing bass equipment, they should be able to rely on the results not only being of high quality, but also of great practical value. This certainly applies to the Swedish manufacturer EBS and its founders Bo Engberg and Mats Kristoffersson, who set out to enrich the world of basses with their well-thought-out creations with the EBS-1 rack preamp back in 1988.
The Octabass was EBS's first effects pedal in 1992, based on an onboard effect from the Swedish manufacturer's Taurus combo. It is an octaver for bass that also recognizes and easily tracks double stops and chords!
The new version of the classic has an improved internal signal path, a new design and a new protection circuit against overvoltages of up to 18 volts. The space requirement is also 12% smaller than the previous Studio and Black Label editions!
