Just like their electric guitars, electric basses from the Japanese Fujigen factory enjoy a first-class reputation. Japanese versions of numerous renowned brands have been—and continue to be—manufactured here. Drawing upon this expertise, Fujigen succeeds in crafting outstanding electric basses that offer exceptional value for money.
All FGN guitars and basses are equipped with the unique Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.). Developed by FGN, this system aims to deliver superior intonation and articulation compared to conventional guitars and basses. All frets are embedded into the fretboard in a slightly curved pattern, ensuring that every string intersects every fret at a precise 90-degree angle. This guarantees minimal contact between the string and the fret, while also ensuring an exactly uniform scale length for each individual string—an aspect that, with traditional fretting, effectively varies. The C.F.S. represents an innovative solution for the fretting of traditional guitars and basses; it facilitates clearer articulation and a more nuanced tone—one that adds depth to chords and cuts through the band mix optimally when playing single notes.
