Each SB‑1 is handcrafted in the Spector Custom Shop in New York, alongside the same NS basses we build every day. Built with the same materials, processes, and attention to detail as today’s Custom Shop instruments, this limited run brings the SB‑1 into the present without losing its historic identity.

At the heart of the SB‑1 is the same iconic formula that defined the original. A single DiMarzio Model One pickup delivers a bold, vintage‑inspired tone, while the original BadAss bridge provides rock‑solid stability and sustain.

The SB‑1 is offered in four carefully selected wood options - walnut, maple, curly cherry, and rainbow alder — each bringing its own character to this historic design. Available only in limited quantities, every SB‑1 showcases the natural beauty of its tonewood, making each instrument as striking to look at as it is to play.
